Hey All,
I hope you are doing well this week. Just wanted to tell you all that we landed in Montego Bay yesterday afternoon around 2:00pm. After a lengthy and rough go about with customs (they apparently wanted to cause a lot of trouble with a large group of 30 people wearing TEAMeffort shirts that said “Pray As You Go”) we managed to get to our transportation who then took us to the Caribbean Christian Center for the Deaf.

God has been so incredible as He has worked through us for two work days now. Our projects include building support rebar cages for a new building addition and also mixing concrete to repair an irrigation system for the center.

As I write this, a couple of the VESSEL band members are eating watermelon next to me on the porch of the dormitory we are staying in. Samantha Robison, Grant Owens, and I got to lead worhip tonight as we support our own student and TE staff member, Lindsey Kurtz as she spoke to us at evening worship. God spoke through her and she definitely blessed us.

Stay tuned for more updates from me soon!!!

In His Dust,
Josh

Thursday Conversation

July 9, 2009

Hey All,

It’s been so long since I’ve posted something on here, but I thought I’d say hello. My prayers are with ya’ll.

From earlier today:

Student: Yah I had 5 of the 8 symptoms of the swine flue and I thought I was gonna die. I was planning my funeral and everything and I was gonna ask you to speak at it but I’m feeling better now so nevermind.

Me: I definitely would’ve spoken at it but I’m happy you pushed through it and survived. Seriously dude. That’s epic-like grizzly hero manness right there.

Just your normal Thursday afternoon conversation! I sincerely believe God is very comical at heart. I’m sure he takes humor in light of some of the things His Beloved say. Good stuff indeed.

Here’s a quick challenge for you all: Take a moment to just try and “Be” with and in the presence of God. No further explanation required.

In His Dust,

Josh
